Owner and PADI Course Director Dirk Hesse (Chuck), has been diving since 1987 and started his career at DLRG. From there, he went to CMAS, where he became a 3* diving instructor after taking his exam in 1998 at Hurghada in Egypt. In 1994, he became a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and a PADI Course Director in Newport Beach in California in 2006.
In accordance with the PADI System, "Chuck" certified more than 3000 students and more than 500 instructors since 1994/2006. Besides his activities in Egypt, Turkey, the Maldives and Kenya, he held his first diving schools from 1999 to 2001 as a base manager on Malapascua and founded, among others, the Early Morning Dive with thresher sharks at Moanad Soal or rather Sunken Island and Shark Point. He coined many of the names of diving spots around Malapascua.
He is responsible for holding IDCs around the world as well as for marketing and diving safaris.
